Fire Prevention
- Never leave food unattended when cooking.

Keep stove clean of excessive grease.

Wear close fitting clothing when cooking.
-
Keep a lid handy. If a pan catchs fire, cover it with the lid.

Never leave small children alone or unattended.
-
Have fireplaces inspected and maintained.
-
Have heating equipment inspected and maintained.
-
Do not overload electrical plugs.
-
Keep anything that will burn 3 feet from portable heaters and heating appliances.
-
Do not refuel kerosene heaters inside and follow manufactures instructions.

Keep smoking materials our of children's reach.
-
Make sure smoking material is completely extinguished before discarding and never smoke in bed.

Never put extension cords under rugs or hung over nails.

When the breaker "trips" or a fuse blows, investigate WHY. Remove excess appliances from a breaker circuit that frequently "trips".

Keep your TV well ventillated. Allow air space around the TV to prevent overheating.

Teach your children how to call us in an emergency.

Crawl, the air near the floor is cooler and cleaner.

Do not hide - go outside.

Go to the neighbors house and call 911.
